Explanations. Day One term Two

Our literacy focus for the term is on ‘explanations’ complimenting our science focused  inquiry.

We are learning to :Clearly explains how something works or state a reason for some phenomenon. Shows awareness of the audience through content, structure, language choices.


TIB: It is important to be able to explain how to do something or explain how things work and why, clearly and accurately.

Explanations’ There are two types of explanation one that explains how something works and one that states a reason for a phenomenon (Why)

In order to explore Phenomenon and to gain a greater understanding of what an explanation is, we did a number of activities using balloons.
Giving simple scientific explanations.
