Explanations How and Why

Today for Literacy students had to think about the difference between a 'HOW' explanation and a 'WHY' Explanation.

To help demonstrate, I used a card trick. After the card trick I explained 'HOW' to do the trick.

Students then repeated the trick to establish how effective the explanation was.

Students also worked with Miss O'Malley on developing their understanding of an explanation. They completed a Padlet on Wonderings.   I wonder......
